A new generation and a challenge card

Edwin in love....
I made the patterned paper by randomly stamping over some Whisper White card with Real Red ink using 3 different heart stamps, not that you can see much of them on here! I covered the cards with double sided sticky, covered with a layer of glamour dust and mounted on Real Red card. The greeting was from a studio g set, again stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White card, mounted on Real Red card. Love the cute Edwin with rose image, coloured with copics, edged off with Fired Brick distress ink and Berry art institute glitter. The main image has been mounted on Real Red card edged with white art institute glitter. I was going to add a heart border but didn't want to cover any more of my backing paper, so settled for a seam binding bow in white.
Here's a close up of the backing paper, as the glitter is not very clear in the larger photo.
I am entering this card these challenges...
Just Magnolia & Hanglar & Stangler - Anything goes and ribbon
Stamping for the Weekend - Valentine
Secret Crafter - Valentine
Magnolia Down Under - Love
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Glitter
Sketch & Stash - sketch, will use this layout again...
Nearly the weekend, let's hope I can fit in some more crafting then!

In the pink wedding card
I had the patterned paper on my desk as I was going to make a valentines card but decided to make a wedding card using my new wedding stamp. The Lili of the Valley challenge this week is a wonderful sketch by Dawny P, one I will use again, and the Secret Crafter Saturday challenge is 'It's a Couple thing'
Sentiment is from SU! as are the punches, apart from the Martha Stewart heart punch, pearls and gold heart from stash which I am gradually working my way through!!
I've finally managed to work out some of the settings on my camera, only had it since last summer!! My pictures should be a bit brighter now....
I've just realised the Cupcake craft challenge this week is 'Weddings' so I'm entering it there also.

What's a girl to do when there's no electricity!
Was told it would be off for about an hour, 4 hours later I was chomping at the bit to buy new rubba, fortunately by the time I got online there were still some in stock so guess I'll be stalking the postman later on this week!
In the meantime I had to amuse myself crafting - such a shame ;-)
I am entering this card for 2 challenges,
- Copic Colour Challenge - which is to use BG02, RV02 & YG03. I had to use BG01 has I haven't got BG02 yet!
- Secret Crafter sketch challenge, a great one to work with.
The papers are from a Kay & Co pad I bought recently, coloured with copics with a bit of glamour dust for that little bling. The snowflakes were punched using a Martha Stewart punch, sentiment, large oval and scalloped oval punches from SU!
Quite funny really, made a summery card yesterday (for a DT call, so can't post it yet!) when the weather was drab and a Christmas card today when the sun was shining!
Looking forward to house to myself tomorrow, need to catch up on some chores and got 4 birthday cards to make for this week, August is always a busy birthday month in the Sinclair family!

Fireman George
I've managed to snatch a few hours crafting today....
Here is the card I've made for the Dottie's World recipe challenge this week, which is :-
- 1 or more Charmed Downloads
- 1 brad
- Ribbon
- Hand doodling/writing
- Dry embossing or crimping (CB embossing folders etc..)
The image is from the George at Work download available from Charmed Cards & Crafts. I have mounted the image on yellow and orange mulberry paper to represent flames, the red card has been embossed with cuttlebug distressed stripes. I finished off the hose with a piece of ribbon, put a brad on the opening of the hose. Doodling around the edge of image and circular handwritten greeting. I am still not entirely happy with the white space on the top of the card, but couldn't find anything that I thought looked right.
I have just discovered the Secret Crafter forum and blog. They have a challenge each month and this month's is 'With the next big event being Fathers Day I thought it would be a good idea to make MENS CARDS the theme for Mays challenge.' so my George card is suitable for this challenge also.
