Second day back at work today and I'm too tired to make a card so thought I would post one that I made one for my friend Jackie who celebrated on her birthday on 28th December. I opted for these colours as I thought they were bright and fresh. The stamps are Hobby Art Scene It Floral set, stamped using Stampin' Up! Ink and a sprinkling of glamour dust. She really liked the card. I think I am going to try this is a few other colour schemes.

A bit of bling - a card and a bracelet
First photo today is a card I was recently asked to make a card for a lady who will be 89 soon.
I've put the 89 on a circle to match the central greeting, along with 'Mum' on another circle for the person who ordered the card to position.
I randomly stamped the images from a Hobby Art set, Floral Sketches, using Stampin' Up! inks. I covered the stamping with double sided sticky and sprinkled generously with glamour dust. This is a style I saw Jenny Mayes demonstrate at Newbury last year and is always well received.
The second photo is a bracelet I was asked to make when I took some of my beading in to work recently.
That's one of them, another 2 to make yet, one in turquoise and one in purple. I had forgotten how fiddly these are to make!
Off to make a start on one of the other ones now.

Quietly crafting....
I've had a quiet morning crafting - the rest of the house were sleeping or out!!

The image, one of the new LOTV stamps, has been on my desk for the last few days, I just couldn't get the hair colouring right - anyone got any hints for copic colours for blonde hair, I would very much appreciate them. I'm thinking I need to buy some more shades :)
I am going to start using up more of my stash this year rather than keep stroking it and putting it away for best.... have managed to use a fair amount on this card.
Papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl, LOTV image, I used nail gems on the skirt. Sentiments are from SU! and Whimsy Stamps and my favourite punches from SU!
I'm entering this card into the following challenges
Creative Card Crew - a card with more than 1 fold
Flutterby Wednesday - sketch
Lili of the Valley - things with wings
Stamp Something - LOTV stamp
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Winter Wonderland GDT spot
Sorry I'm a bit late posting this. I meant to do it first thing, but after a long lie-in having been playing catch up all day and have only just realised that I hadn't posted it...
I've been lucky enough to be chosen for a 2 week guest design spot for Winter Wonderland. The challenge this week is 'Hot Chocolate'

My immediate thought was of the image of Willow with Hot Chocolate but as I don't have that stamp I had to improvise - so thought I would use chocolate coloured papers and the Willow with Cookies image.
I coloured the image with copics and used Stampin' Up! papers. The square punch is also SU! and sentiment is one from a 99p set from The Range.
Why not check out the Winter Wonderland blog and see what the very talented DT members have created.

Whiff Of Joy DT call
Whiff of Joy have a DT call out at the moment but only for the next few minutes - yeah last minute dot com again - that's me but I've got a good excuse, be back later to tell ya why, just off to link to the post...
Back again..... I had hoped to post this earlier in the week but had to make samples for a local craft show I was demoing at today. Finally finished at silly o'clock this morning and crawled into bed exhausted, had a great day, met lots of lovely people.
Anyway onto my DT card. I adore this image, only problem is it makes me feel hungry.... I used Laundry Line papers, coloured with copics. The sentiment and punches are Stampin' Up! blooms & brad from stash.
I hope Katharina likes it, I would love, love, love to be on the DT for Whiff of Joy, the stamps are adorable, fingers and everything else crossed. Good luck to everyone who entered.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hidden Treasure
It's my second week as a guest designer at Cute Card Thursday this week and the theme is
'Challenge 78 - Hidden Treasure
This week we want to see a hidden element/gift in your cards/projects'.

I decided to make a pop up style card, which is always well received. I was really pleased with the colours on the manga girl card I posted recently so thought I would go with that colour scheme again.
And here's the hidden element, well she was nearly hidden....

I coloured Miss Anya with copics and mounted on to the black, gray & white sparkly papers from a DCWV paper stack. The sentiment and punches are from Stampin' Up! and ribbon from stash. Another card for my Christmas box - I'm doing quite well this year...
Don't forget to visit the Cute Card Thursday blog to see the wonderful cards the DT members have made and the fabulous prize up for grabs.
It's my day off today, got a list of jobs and cards as long as my arm so had better get started.... Have a wonderful day.

And Tilda makes 3
challenges....

I admired this image on my friend Paula's blog and she very kindly sent me some of them along with a selection of other lovely images.
I am entering this for 3 challenges
Roses on Paper - colour combo of Lavender, Soft Blue & Cream,
the sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches,
La La Land challenge - distressing.
I coloured the image with copics, used Gelly Roll pens on the wings, and inked the edges of the image with a dew drop ink pad. The papers are from a couple of DCWV paper stacks I've had a while, I love the sparkly bits on the bottom paper. Sentiment and tag punches are from SU!
I am off to catch the last bit of sun in the garden, hope to be back later with more craftiness....

My first DT card for Creative Card Crew
Did I mention that I had been asked to join the Design Team at Creative Card Crew ;-)
Well here's my first DT card, it was Sharon's turn to set the challenge this week and she chose a colour combo of Black, Pink & White.

I really enjoyed making this card using a Whimsy image sent to me, which I coloured with copic markers. I didn't have the right coloured bloom so chose a white one and coloured it with a copic to match the ones used in the image.
The card went great until I had finished it and tried to stand it up to photograph it - guess what? I had stuck the image and details on the wrong way..... what a muppet? Fortunately I managed to lift it and turn it round, no harm done..
The challenge this week is sponsored by Whimsy stamps
and the fabulous prize that Denise has given us is a Pyjama Emma stamp and the Wedding Cake and Kisses digital download.
Make sure you visit Creative Card Crew and check out the very talented design team members work and those great prizes.

Papers -DCWV All Dressed Up stack, pearlescent card from stash
Sentiment - Stampin Up! Sincere Salutations
Punches - Stampin Up! large oval and scalloped oval, Martha Stewart border punch
Blooms, gems, brad from stash
Bead cap from a wonderful bead shop I visited last week The Bead Cellar in Black Torrington, why not take a look at their website and check out what lovely things they have to offer.
Am off to make the most of my last few days of freedom, back to work on Thursday :-(

My first attempt with distress inks
I have never used distress inks before but after seeing Bev use them at Newbury, I had to have some! Here is my firt attempt using them, it was very theraputic painting with them, think I need to get some more colours.....

I'm going to enter this card for 2 challenges the first is Just Magnolia, a sketch this week by Mina. I used my Butterfly Tilda stamp that I got at Newbury, still not received my summer kit, grrrrr..... I dug deep for this Papermania double sided paper, really like the colour tones, which pick up the colours in the main image.
The challenge at Creative Inspirations is to use gems and/or pearls, more Newbury purchases, lovely Kaiser craft pearls, an absolute bargain, had to get them in all of the colours LOL!! Flower punch from XCut, MS border punch, SU tag punches and sentiment, image coloured with distres inks and twinkling H2Os.
Am off to finish off the ironing now, got last bit of school uniform to do :-( still only 1 more weekend, then 6 weeks off, for me and the kids - yippee!!!! Lots of crafting time.
