Been Beading....
Have been busy this week, at work and home. Ellie has just become a Body Shop demonstrator, so had my party on Monday, had to drop her off and collect her from one last night and spent tonight updating Barry's cv.
Am off to make a couple of cards now, and should have plenty of playtime tomorrow, as its my day off....yippeee!! Catch up then.

Lilac Medallion, Stamp Something Challenge, Friday Sketchers Monochrome Challenge
Not very good photos I'm afraid but I'm getting tired now and ought to be in bed, but have to upload these first This is my entry for the Stamp Something Challenge this week which is a monochrome challenge, I have chosen silver for my neutral colour and used 2 other shades of purple. I have used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers for the layout of this card. I stamped and heat embossed 6 images of the stamp on alternating colours, cut out the various layers, glittered and assembled with 3d foam pads. The card in the middle was dry embossed using the cuttlebug divine swirls embossing folder. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy making medallions, must do some more soon.
Ellie passed her theory test!!!!!
I have made several cards and have a few more under construction, mojo has definately returned, so much so that I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I want to stay at home and craft - again!
I am going to use this card as my entry for this week's DCM challenge which is to make cards with wheels on.
Cute Card Thursday Challenge, Birthday Card
I have had a lovely morning colouring in some images I won from Heidi recently. I can see I am going to have to treat myself to some of these stamps, that are now going to be easier to get hold of over here I believe......
Am off to make my daughter a cuppa and some lunch, as she is busy revising for her driving theory test this afternoon, be back later with some more cards and hopefully some good news!!

2 in 1 challenge using my SWISS DOTS embossing folder!!
Its been ages since I've blogged, as last week I was busy organising a weekend away for me and DH, without my teenage daughter finding out!! We were going to leave her 'home alone' for the first time, but she is nearly 18 as she keeps reminding us! We had a great weekend away in the New Forest, even managed to find a couple of craft shops! Everything was fine when we got back, daughter still alive and kicking! She did phone me to ask how to boil an egg earlier today tho!!
Anyway, I've had 3 days away from the computer and crafting so was getting a bit twitchy, so once I had got all the washing sorted I headed to my craft room to do a couple of cards. One was an order from a colleague, which I will post later (if I remember) and the other was for the My Time To Craft challenge this week which is
'Brads & Eyelets'- Use brads or eyelets or both!
I have combined this challenge with the Friday Sketchers challenge in a bid to get back on track with challenges!
I used 'Melanie the Shopper' stamp from Rubber Romance, with a brad 'I love shopping, mounted onto the background papers using brads. Image was stamped with Brilliance ink pad, pearlescent lavender and coloured with pearlescent orchid and marvy pens. I used my new Swiss Dots embossing folder, which I managed to track down at long last (like looking for hen's teeth trying to track these down!), handmade paper, pearlescent card and ribbon from stash.
We went to Shaftesbury on Saturday and found a wonderful bead shop, of course I had to buy a selection of beads! I have several projects in mind, got so much I want to do, could do with more hours in a day, not having to sleep, or packing up work!!

Happy Pink Birthday Jo - Only Joking
I bought this 'Blonde Moments' paper a while ago to use while scrapbooking my daughter's prom pictures, and had forgotten about it until I sorted my craft room out recently.
The image is a Pink Petticoat download, which I coloured with my good old Marvys and Glamour Dust for the sheep's coat. The background papers are from Blonde Moments, DCWV Spring Stack, silver mirri card and pink card from stash. The flowers were cut using Cricut George & Basic Shapes flowers and mounted to the card using brads. Greeting is from Cuddly Buddly, I have just discovered these stamps, had some delivered last week, but can feel another order coming on soon!!
Check out Jo's blog http://jo-onlyjoking.blogspot.com/
for some fabulous cards and to see the great blog candy she is offering, but be quick as you need to make a pink birthday card by midnight 4th June.

How to make a Diamond Fold Spring card
Take a piece of A5 card. Make 3 small marks evenly spaced along the long (21cm) edge at the top and bottom of the card, 5.25cm, 10.5cm and 15.75cm. Mark halfway down the shorter (15cm)edge, 7.5cm on one side.
Score diagonally from the top first to the bottom third mark and from top third mark to first bottom mark. Score vertically between the top second and bottom second marks, do the same on the third marks, see attached photo.
Cut from the middle mark on the left edge to the first mark at the top and same again on the bottom. Make the folds as shown in the photo and decorate as required. I have described as best I can, it sooo much easier to demonstrate than describe the process!!
Look at http://www.art-of-craft.co.uk/acatalog/Spring_Card_Collection.html for the template available.
Good luck and have fun making your diamond spring cards.
