2 posts in 2 days!

On a roll now, really enjoyed making the card yesterday so rather than waste time on the laptop browsing craft stash, thought I should use up some of what I already have. After a quick squizz round challlenges I came up with this...

Love this Butterfly Tilda image which was already stamped up - yep, got a little box of UFOs that I intend to use up soon, as its clogging up my workspace! Some more lovely papers from First Edition Papers, this one is called Desert Blooms, some of my favourite colours in this stack. Coloured with copics, am I the only craft who has a problem when colouring with reds, they bleed something rotten? Anyhow managed to cover it up, I hope, with a little glamour dust!
The layout is from Create 4 Fun challenge, I am also entering this into the Magnolia Stamp Lovers which is 'to use die cuts' - the swirly bits although they are punched - hope this counts and finally the Magnolia Down Under challenge this is 'Two of anything' - I have gone for 2 patterned papers, 2 squares, 2 flowers and 2 layouts as I have repeated the LO on the inside of the card as shown below

Hope you've had a lovely weekend, roll on the next one!! Just realised we will be halfway through the half term then - only 3 weeks to go until Easter hols woo hoo!! Mind you I've got so much work to get through before then that perhaps I shouldn't wish those weeks away...

Bloom & Grow Tilda

What a busy day... but I can relax now, the house has been de-Christmassed and cleaned through, washing up to date so that leaves me free to craft all weekend :D

I made this card for a very special friend who celebrates her birthday today. I was hoping to enter it into 4 challenges but as I am late posting, I've missed the Magnolia deadline :(

Not sure what this image is called but it was from the Autumn Magnolia kit in 2009. I used MME Bloom & Grow papers, I bought loads of these as I love the colours, so still working my way through them!
The 3 challenges I am entering this card into are
Totally Gorgeous - Someone Special
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes - lace option, hope my raffia ribbon counts!
Create 4 Fun - sketch.

Have a great weekend.

It's been a while......

since I posted a card. I had a lovely half term holiday the only problem was it went too quickly and I didn't manage to do half the things I had planned to do.
I escaped to my craft room this evening and made the following card for 2 challenges.

,

I haven't made an easel card for a while, then discovered that challenge was the Magnolia Down Under challenge, so I'll have to make another one for that - shame ;-)
I have used blooms as per the Totally Gorjuss challenge and used the sketch from Create 4 Fun.

I used some old HOTP papers, a mixture of blooms, a Gorjuss girl stamp, Miss Attitude, been a while since I used this stamp, coloured with copics.
Just looked at the picture in preview, it doesn't look so pale and washed out IRL.

Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes

Woke up this morning with a start as I realised that I hadn't posted my DT card for Creative Card Crew on my blog this week. I usually do it on a scheduled post but DH wanted to use the laptop on Sunday to do a bit of online shopping which upset my routine!! Lets hope me bought me something nice ;-)

Anyway finally here we are with this week's 'Anything Goes' challenge. I had the perfect card to make having received the news last week that my cousin & his wife in New Zealand had had an early Christmas present, their baby arrived 5 weeks early. Welcome to the world Jessica. Wish we were nearly and could have a cuddle - one day!!!
It also gave me the opportunity to use one of my new stamps that arrived recently and has been waiting to be inked up - Vintage Baby from Funky Kits. Papers are none other than DCWV, image coloured with copics.

Just one more thing, we are losing the very talented Nicola from the Design Team this week, so there is a DT call on, visit Creative Card Crew blog for more deets.
Had better be off to the shower now, another busy day at work, Christmas dinner day.... looking forward to end of term on Friday.

I am entering this card into 2 challenges, I used the sketch at Friday Sketchers and the challenge at Create 4 Fun is to make an easel card.

Robbie Walking......Card for a boy

The challenge this week at Creative Card Crew is to make a card for a child or baby.... I opted to make a card for a boy, when I came across a certain stamp in my stash.

This cute image of 'Robbie Walking' is from Cuddly Buddly, coloured with copics. The papers are a HOTP pad I bought recently, I just love the vivid colours. The stars are cut from a flower punch (SU! punch) and run through an embossing folder, then inked on the embossing and round the edges.

There is a fabby prize up for grabs again this week, go on over to Creative Card Crew to see what it is and the rest of the DT's take on this challenge.

I am going to enter this card into the Create 4 Fun and Charisma Cards challenges this week.

Butterfly Tilda goes 3D......

As mentioned in my previous post, here's the project I've been working on over the last couple of days along with commissions and the odd spot of painting - watercolour where I can get away with it, otherwise emulsion :-(

Create 4 Fun challenge this week is a template to make a tag bag. Well my printer is throwing a wobbly, so I cheated a little on this one and cut my tags using a Sizzix red die and stuck those to a box, dimensions look about the same as the template, so hoping thats OK.

The Just Magnolia challenge this week is friendship and the Just Magnolia Monthly challenge is to 3D an image, so thought I would combine all 3 challenges and make the tag bag, which I haven't filled as I wanted you to be able to see the inside which I have decorated with offcuts of paper and a matching card.

Here's the other side of the tag bag. I felt it needed a bit more detail, so dug out some headpins and beads to add that bit of bling!

I love this image, these colours and papers, although I'm not sure I will be working with them again for a while, especially after water colouring about 6 images of Tilda, I was seeing Shabby Shutters and Spiced Marmalade in my sleep LOL!

There are 2 layers of Tilda on the tag bag and 4 on the card. I really enjoyed this technique, I hadn't thought of doing this to stamped images although not quite sure why, decoupage has never been a favourite of mine although I loved making medallion cards when I first started card making.

Anyway off to enjoy the sun while its out and do a spot of colouring, hope to catch up on some blog hopping later tonight.
